Oak
Leaf Horse Farm (OLF) is situated near the heard of horse racing, Saratoga
Springs, New York. OLF specializes in breeding, raising and showing
registered Quarter Horses and Paints.
Among many of the qualify horses residing at OLF, stand two well-known
stallions.
1996 APHA Stallion, Elvis Been Spotted, stands 16H, with some of the most
versatile bloodlines around. This stallion shows the qualities we all
desire; presence, color, athletic ability, natural collection and
conformation as well as his well-known quiet disposition. He is well
balanced in every aspect giving you exceptional athletic ability, yet at
the same time he has produced offspring that will sweep show exhibitors
off their feet. Elvis has also proven himself in the world of barrel
racing, finishing in the top state standings of NBHA.
2005 PBHA/AQHA Stallion, Cools My Daddy has become the talk of the town in
a short period of time on the show circuit. Already qualifying for the
2007 AQHA World Show in both Open & Amateur, his future looks endless. His
excellent disposition, fluid movement and extreme intelligence will surely
be passed down to his get, as his sire Cool Scotch passed to him. Cools My
Daddy is one of the few stallions remaining by the late, Cool Scotch who
passed away shocking the show world in 2006.
Oak Leaf Horse Farm is also the home to two time AQHA World Qualifier,
Precious Zorra. This Grand Champion Mare keeps raking in the national
points, with many state championships to show for her quality.. Zorra is
considered the stepping-stone for OLF. She is the horse that has moved OLF
into the spotlight amongst other Northeast exhibitors.
Last year she even gathered points in American Ranch Horse Association,
proving the fact again that we strive for the all-around horse.
Jean Hatalsky, owner of Oak Leaf Horse Farm has also incurred some
outstanding accomplishments of her own. Jean was awarded the AQHA Top Ten
Open High Point Limited Rider Award (Skill Set A) in both 2005 & 2006, as
well as many State Championships. She strives to hand select quality
mares, with lines and presence to show, as well as reproduce top quality
offspring.
With this, she breeds, raises and trains all her own show horses. Not many
individuals out there are owner-trainer-exhibitor, Jean is one of the few.
This makes both the horse and exhibitor accomplishments even more eventful
at Oak Leaf Farm. Jean thanks her parents and her husband for all their
support and assistance, without them this would all just be a dream for
her.
Since I was a little girl my dreams have always been fulfilled in the
horse world thanks to my parents. They are always there still helping me
out at the farm, show ring and every area needed. My husband, Dan has also
been the backbone of all my dreams and accomplishments. He is always there
encouraging me to take that next step.
